We had a great stay at this guest house. The location is perfect - quiet street but close to lively area with bars and restaurants. The host was very accommodating and the place was super clean with spacious rooms.
We felt truly spoilt, nothing to complain about.

It was clean and comfy, convienient for our purpose and very friendly
The room was a bit small and one cannot use cremora when having tea. Not sure what the solution is.

This hotel offers great value for money with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location is perfect, close to good restaurants and attractions I wanted to see. The staff provide excellent service and the rooms are cozy with a fireplace and some even come with a balcony.
The only minor drawback was the outdated TV in the rooms, but who goes on holiday to watch TV anyways?

It was cozy and conveniently located - plus the owners were lovely. Would definitely recommend it to someone traveling to Cape Town on a budget.
We would have enjoyed a greater breakfast variety, but other than that, everything was delightful.

The room at The Cape Colonial Guest House was just perfect for me. It had everything I needed, like tea and coffee-making facilities, and free WiFi. Plus, the large private balcony was a real treat!
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the shower in the private bathroom. It's just a personal preference, though.

The Cape Colonial is a gem in the heart of Cape Town. The rooms are beautifully decorated with Victorian balconies, giving them a charming touch. The attention to detail is evident, from the spacious rooms with fireplaces to the delicious breakfast served every morning. The hotel's location is perfect, close to the best restaurants on Kloof street and within walking distance to grocery stores and bars.
All was perfect at this hotel, couldn't ask for more.

Charming and accommodating hosts, Victorian charm throughout the house. A great place for single travelers on a budget. The dining area was perfect for working all day. Breakfast served was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Although the guesthouse doesn't have all the facilities of a hotel, such as air conditioning, phones in the rooms, minibars, or a receptionist/concierge. However, if you're looking for more amenities or assistance with calling cabs, this may not be the best option for you.

Staying in this hotel was great, it is in a very central area with many restaurants nearby. It was easy to get to the different attractions we wanted to see. The room was clean and comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade banana cake. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay enjoyable.
The walls were very thin, and we could hear everything that was happening in the next room, which made it difficult to sleep at times.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming guest house in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. The location was ideal, being close to the city center and within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in town. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with some even featuring Victorian balconies. The breakfast included fresh muffins and was a delightful start to the day.
Parking was a bit of a challenge, but everything else was perfect.

The location was on point, right in the heart of Gardens. We could easily walk to cool spots like Kloof Street and hit up trendy bars and restaurants. And the best part was, we were just a hop away from the Mount Nelson stop for the city sightseeing tour. We hopped on that bus and explored Cape Town like boss teens, taking in all the awesome sights and getting those Insta-worthy shots!
The only thing we wished for was a bit more of a party vibe at the guest house. Don't get us wrong, the place was chill and cozy, but as young, party-loving peeps, it would have been dope to have some lively events or social hangouts where we could meet other cool travelers and have a blast.

I had the most pleasant stay in this hotel located in the Gardens area. The location is close to all the attractions I wanted to see and just a short walk to the city center. The hotel facilities were clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. On top of that, the parking was easy and convenient.
No complaints.

The location of this place is absolutely mind-blowing! The building itself is gorgeous and well maintained, and the fact that they allowed us to check in earlier made our trip super easy. The neighborhood was secure and safe, and we even found the best steak restaurant just down the road. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the housekeeper was so nice and helpful. Even without the secure parking, the area felt secure with their own security. The hosts were lovely, always providing freshly made tea, coffee, and banana bread, and giving GREAT recommendations. a jaw-dropping stay in a stunning location!
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
